Ubisoft+ is coming to PlayStation, starting with Ubisoft+ Classics

Ubisoft announced this afternoon that Ubisoft+ is coming to PlayStation soon. With this paid service, subscribers get access to over 100 games, including new releases on the day of release. The service is already available on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna, but will also be on PlayStation. Same for Xbox.

The first step will be taken on May 24, when Ubisoft will make ‘Ubisoft+ Classics‘ available on PlayStation. This route gives players access to the publisher’s most popular games. These are: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Tom Clancy’s: The Division and For Honor, as well as Child of Light, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Far Cry 4, Steep, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, The Crew 2, Trials Rising , Watch_Dogs and Inside the Werewolves.

The catalog will initially consist of 27 titles and will continue to grow throughout the rest of the year. The goal is to deliver a total of 50 games by the end of 2022 and this will increase further in 2023.

Ubisoft+ Classics will initially be included with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. So this comes at no additional cost to subscribers of that service. It is unclear whether Ubisoft+ Classics will also be available as a separate subscription. Ubisoft said the presentation will take place on June 23 in Europe.

What is Ubisoft+?

According to the company, this subscription includes “a selection of popular and classic Ubisoft games”, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, For Honor, Far Cry 4, South Park: The Fractured but Whole and Watch Dogs. The Ubisoft+ Classics catalog will include a total of 27 games at launch. At the end of 2022, this number will be increased to 50 games.
