State of Decay 3 game still in development
It's been almost two years since State of Decay 3 was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase, but the game is still in development.

Two years after the announcement, the game is still in pre-production and the studio seems to be in trouble.
While a recent report from Kotaku showed that developer Undead Labs was under pressure to announce State of Decay 3 two years ago, the developers still felt the game wasn’t ready. As a result of the raid, a demo was created to be sent to Microsoft and development did not get better.
Two new internal demos are scheduled for Fall 2021, and Philip Holt, hired by Microsoft at the time of the 2018 acquisition, was expecting a working game. Undead Labs employees disagreed with the unrealistic expectations, and it turned out that some of the studio’s veteran employees saw this as the right time to leave the developer.
According to one of the developers, many elements still need to be worked on and much of the process is still in its infancy. It looks like we’ll have to wait a few more years before we see anything from State of Decay 3 again. Who knows, State of Decay 3 may never see the light of day if current internal issues continue.
