PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium: New games will be added monthly

We’re slowly learning more about the revamped PlayStation Plus service, which should launch next June. It will soon be possible to easily upgrade to a higher level of service and we know we can expect books from ‘every major publisher’.

For now, it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to play the new games from launch, but in an email to subscribers, Sony has announced that new games will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers each month. These can be both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games. As we know from other such services, games can also disappear every month.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium will offer “up to 400 games” from PlayStation 4/5, and the Premium tier will include classic titles from PS1 and PS2, among others. As mentioned, Sony plans to launch the service in June, i.e. June 22 for Europeans.
