One of the biggest changes is the option to create open and closed Sides on both PS4 and PS5. Additionally, several UI improvements are coming to the console, and the same goes for Trophy cards. Also, accessibility features are added for headphones, such as a mono output.

The Remote Play application will also be updated to ‘dark mode’ and it will be possible to create open and closed Parties in the regular application. Lastly, regarding the update, Sony states that almost everything previously announced will be implemented, so we want to direct you to this overview.

In addition to these updates, Sony has also provided some details about Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). Sony plans to add this to the PlayStation 5 in the coming months, so there’s progress there too. Sony will share more details as we get closer to launch. But now the important thing is that it really happens.
