How do transferable saves work in GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox?

You can now upload the progress made in the story mode to the Rockstar Games Social Club.

To load the progress made in the story mode, go to the Save Game option in the game tab of the pause menu. Rockstar emphasizes that players can only transfer one save file to Social Club on each platform, and these downloads can only be downloaded for 90 days on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

It is also possible to upload your GTA Online characters to Social Club with the GTA Online new generation version and GTA 5 new generation version on March 15. After this transfer, you can use GTA Dollars, progress, statistics, vehicles, features, weapons, outfits and player-created works in the next generation version.

The developer emphasizes that you can import all the things mentioned above only from GTA Online to the same console family. So from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S.
