Does Elden Ring day one patch fix the frame issue?

The Elden Ring storm has officially started today. With the release of the game for all platforms, we can say that the players stepped into a cutthroat adventure in Lands Between. Of course, although the PC version of the game had a very good exit on the Steam platform, it also brought some problems.

In the previously published Elden Ring system requirements table, asking for a minimum of 12 GB of RAM actually gave some clues. With the release of the game, it was understood that there were some optimization problems, especially with the frame drop error.

What does Elden Ring day one patch change?

From Software, on the other hand, will try to solve this optimization problem with the updates it will release. Although the first day patch made a slight recovery on the frame drop that we saw more in the review version, we can actually see that this problem still persists. In the first day patch, different improvements were also made, especially character control. The changes made with version 1.02 of the game, where Ray Tracing features will come later, are as follows;

Elden Ring 1.02 Release Notes

  • Improved player controls
  • Adding and setting BGM
  • Text adjustments
  • Balance adjustments
  • NPC event fixes and tweaks
  • Fixed framerate drops under certain conditions
  • Fixed text error in some languages
  • Also fixed a bug that prevented the Xbox wireless headset from working properly
