Diablo 2: Resurrected – With patch 2.4 there is finally a date for the ladder

Since its release in September 2021, Diablo 2: Resurrect fans have been waiting for a very special feature: the ladder. There hasn’t been a ranked season so far in the remake of the action RPG classic – but that’s about to change.

With the big 2.4 patch for Diablo: Resurrected being released today, there is now a kick off date for the first ladder and massive patch notes. It starts in two weeks

All about the ladder in Diablo 2: Resurrected

Diablo 2: Resurrected ladder is currently scheduled for release on April 29, 2022. Diablo 2: Resurrected will also have four different ranked modes. These are as follows:

  • Classical Staircase: Classical version of the staircase with four frets.
  • Classic Hardcore Ladder: A hardcore version of a four-act ladder with only 1 life.
  • The classic five-act staircase as it implements the content of Expansion Ladder: Lord of Destruction.
  • Hardcore Ladder Expansion: 5-act hardcore version of Ladder Expansion, here again you only have 1 life.

If you want to be on the ladder, you should remember that you need to create a new character for the season. During this time, this remains playable on ladder only. At the end of the season, however, your Ladder character will become an unranked character while protecting his gear and other items.

Blizzard shared a lot of details about Diablo IV

You’ll also then have time to bring your items from the Ladder’s shared stash into regular online play. Currently, it means that from the end of Season 1 until the start of Season 3, you have time to secure your belongings. If you miss the deadline, the items in the chest will be lost forever.
