CoD Warzone: Cheaters will say goodbye to their weapons
The anti-cheat tool Ricochet will take away all the weapons of cheaters, making the game more difficult for them.

Call of Duty: Warzone has been fighting against cheaters since its release. Core-based anti-cheat tech Ricochet has received a new update that doesn’t recognize cheaters more effectively, but punishes them more creatively.
The cheaters are literally losing their weapons
A new blog entry explains the new update: As soon as a scammer is detected by Ricochet, there are two possible scenarios. Either the scammer will be banned immediately or one of the so-called damage limitation methods will be applied to him.
Disarming it now makes known cheaters immediately lose all their weapons and are no longer able to defend themselves – even their fists disappear. Therefore, if you have been the victim of an overpowered fraudster, you may now have the opportunity to turn the situation around.
CoD fansite Charlie Intel shared a short clip on Twitter where you can see what such a vulnerable scammer looks like:

Why is CoD Warzone doing this? According to the developers, bans are still the most effective way to deter cheaters. However, more data on how new hacks work needs to be collected regularly. For this analysis, damage limiting methods keep cheaters in games longer without causing any damage.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 has been Announced
Especially with regard to Call of Duty: Warzone 2, the development of anti-cheat methods should play a big role in order not to encounter similar problems again. All information about the successor to Battle Royale, which will be released in 2022, can be found in the linked knowledge article.
