AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 coming soon to Xbox
AMD has reported that FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 technology (FSR) will soon be available for Xbox games.
The company cannot reveal exactly when the technology will be implemented.
FSR is similar to Nvidia technology DLSS. Thanks to this AI-driven image reconstruction technique, low-resolution images get a much-needed upgrade. Unlike DLSS, AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 algorithm does not use machine learning to increase the resolution of images.
AMD released FSR 1.0 to the world in June 2021 for PC gaming. More than 90 developers and publishers are currently using this technology for a total of 80 PC games.
The FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 announcement took place on Thursday, June 17. Then you saw what Deathloop looked like when the game used this technology. You should read the games powered by AMD, FidelityFX here.
